Tuesday is Through

....and 2nd place will have do. Poo. Thanks to Warren Sapp, the Twinkle Toes Teddy Bear-who proved ALL men can trip the light fantastic. Put a man on the ballroom floor, and his anticts from the gridiron can be forgiven...well, almost. So Season 7 is over. Brooke was/is the best dancer--yet Warren...he could paso some doble anytime! And there was gas for $1.59 a gallon today...that and Warren Sapp...my tank runneth over.

Dancing--Just Be Feelin' Like It

Looked in one of my diaries tonight. Just to see what I was doing on this day back in the Triassic Period, more specifically when I was 16. Turns out, I received my bowling bowl today. Yep, my shiny, all brand new bowling bowl. My best friend, bosom buddy and life long pal had gotten one (a purple one) so I, of course, couldn't be out done. Oh the best friend, etc deal--that's what Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble said about their friendship. So we decided that's what ours was too. During the Triassic Period, we were inseparable--now? Not chatted in at least 10 years--possibly longer. Hmm. That's another entry for another day, however back on that day-we were both so thrilled about our spankin new bowling bowls. Our names were even engraved! We bowled 7 games. Yep. Seven. With me at the high of 187. Through the years, my highest game was a 268 and still holding.

Now in 2008, I just finished watching Dancing With the Stars finals. I called in all my votes, plus voted online for Warren Sapp. Granted, Brooke Burke is the best dancer and Lance has come on at the end--but Warren. Big Man busts the move. You just gotta love it. Why can't I date a guy who likes to dance? I mean, REALLY dance? One who will take swing and/or ballroom lessons with me? For that, I'd make him his favorite omelet any time, day or night, suffer through the Three Stooges and not wear my most favorite raggedy t-shirt around him. The cats? Well--I draw the line there. They stay.

Gotta go pop some corn and watch today's Young and the Restless episode. Don't you just want Victor to hurry and crush Adam like the cockroach? And then go over and slap Jill for being a nut then slap Katherine so we don't have to see her go thru amnesia for TOO long? Yep. Me too. Then there's this other trip to take to back in the day. From the 70's original Donny and Marie variety show. Donny introduces his brother Jay who shows us how much he feels like dancin. He ain't Warren Sapp, yet it puts a smile on face. To remember a time when....well, just to remember when!

Monday Marvel

Rain here in Dallas. A tornado watch too....yep, in November.

Nonetheless, I smile because a distant cousin I found in Ohio, e-mailed today. He and his wife traveled to Loudon County, Virginia where our ancestors had been slaves. Turns out he located our ancesteral cemetary. How cool is that? Our family settled in Ohio, I think after the Civil War or during. Just try to piece that all together. I usually don't like puzzles, yet this one I enjoy putting together.

Warren dazzled me tonight, on Dancing With the Stars. He trips that light fantastic pretty well! Loved it!

Ate cucumber sandwiches yesterday at a baby shower. I'm not much on cucumber, however the event was a delightful time had by all. One of my co-workers mentioned to me today, she loves cucumber, but would need 42 of the sandwiches to get full. What was cool about yesterday is the age range. Ladies aged around 75 years young down to the mommy to be who was early 20's. Lively chat, which included talking about favorite I Love Lucy and Andy Griffith shows! Talk about something that keeps during the test of time!

Just happy one work day is done. Just happy period. Just need to get real happy to steam clean my carpet. Hmm. That can wait. Gotta curl in bed an rejoice to the rhythm of the falling rain and think of my family I never knew and realize they've been with me all the time.

Just Gotta Love It...

The way Warren Sapp glides on the floor NOW, makes me forget how much I wasn't thrilled with him in the NFL THEN. No glide---mostly just a slam to the ground. :) I do think his score should have been higher than a 24. Let's tune in tomorrow to see Cloris salsa's on home.... :)

Back to the TV...Boston Legal is my just dessert tonight. Denny Crane.

A Waltz By Any Other Name Is....

Warren? I like the big man as he took to task the Viennese Waltz. I mean, come on--after the way he smashed QBs, to now see Warren twinkle his toes? Impossible! And I know I wasn't alone in my thoughts!

Dancing With The Stars The Results Week 2

Kim Kardashian booted off. Never really saw her before until this show. Still not quite that sure about what she does. Nonetheless, I'm OK with her gone. Honestly, down deep, part of me wishes Kim coulda stuck around another week while Cloris shuffled off the set or to Buffalo instead. Oh well. When I watched the Mary Tyler Moore show those almost 40 years ago, didn't realize Cloris would be as feisty. Maybe she got too cold in Minneapolis because Mary wouldn't let her borrow a hat. In the meantime, it was good to get meet you Kim.

Warren Sapp: a Big Ol' Teddy Bear who sizzled in that black costume tonight! And to think, during his NFL career--I didn't care oh so much for Warren at all. Time changes everything.

Wednesday and Dancing With the Stars

How can you NOT love Warren Sapp?

How can Cloris Leachman NOT get booted off tonight? Her antics have now bored me. Adored her Mary Tyler Moore those few decades ago. Today, her feisty, potty mouth old lady routine doesn't work for me. For the first couple minutes--fine. Now--ahh..not so much. I admire an 82 year old woman being on that show. She can tone down the actions and I'd be cool.

Who IS Brooke Burke?

....and just breath, Toni...

We'll see what happens tonight!

Monday Marvelous....

So that little game in Green Bay last night--heard tell about it, didn't you? First time EVER Dallas Cowboys won at Lambeau. Won quite sound. Granted, still a road to go before the Cowboys hoist up the Lombardi Trophy in February. That thought, along with the visible evidence displayed on the field make it just that much more sweet. Gotta love the 3-0--which is first time since 1976 (a very good year!--right, Movie Man?)

Take yonder look at this picture of Marion Barber and Miles Austin, from the Wisconsin State Journal, snapped by Steve Apps. Their celebration of Miles 52 yard touch down! Hmm. Kinda looks like they're ready for Dancing With The Stars (which I'm addicted to and hence will be glued to the TV tonight.)

So if you will excuse me. Need to take a quick walk. Gotta bask in this Cowboy victory as I warm up for Warren Sapp, 82 yr old Cloris Leachman and the rest of the Stars, begin their battle to be one with the dance tonight. Will any of them be able to leap or lift as high as Marion and Miles?

Naw.

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
