Oh, Cheese and Macaroni, Not TONI!

When Cloris Leachman was announced as the second one safe tonight on, Dancing With The Stars, I was stunned, I tell ya, STUNNED! Susan Lucci, I figured would exit, sooner than Toni Braxton. WOW. Toni said her breathing and heart were better--that is great thing, yet I'm sorry to see her go. A true inspiration to us folks who've had alittle heart adventure.

And Cloris remains! I'm glad she's calmed down her antics. We'll see what happens next week during their hip-hop group dance. Oh, and the Stars of Dance, or whatever that production number was-granted, my dance teacher put me in a glow in the dark pink fake grass skirt, because I looked like an authentic Hawaiian, so my dance career to be a Rockette ended-but I gotta say, I expected a bit MORE out of that number. What was the surprise? The rain? Hmm.

Nonetheless, Toni Braxton is gone. I'm still so stunned I need a couple spoonfuls of my Blue Bell Snickerdoodle ice cream--it is my new favorite flavor.

Now the picture Yours truly, in about the Triassic Period, waiting for her cue to enter the dance recital stage. I tapped to Ol McDonald Had Some Jazz.

Ya gotta love it.

Where's my ice cream?

Wednesday and Dancing With the Stars

How can you NOT love Warren Sapp?

How can Cloris Leachman NOT get booted off tonight? Her antics have now bored me. Adored her Mary Tyler Moore those few decades ago. Today, her feisty, potty mouth old lady routine doesn't work for me. For the first couple minutes--fine. Now--ahh..not so much. I admire an 82 year old woman being on that show. She can tone down the actions and I'd be cool.

Who IS Brooke Burke?

....and just breath, Toni...

We'll see what happens tonight!

Dancing With The Stars Toni Braxton

OK--the show is still on while I write this. Just wanted to say a bit about Toni Braxton. Admired her vocal talent yet was never really a big fan. When I heard Toni would do the show, I also knew about her pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the lining of the heart. I read about her illness a couple years ago and floored because of Toni's younger than me age. Tonight Toni said how doing this show was personal for her, how she wanted to work on her fears.

Hey, this songbird and I have something in common. With my own mitral valve replacement surgery, I wondered so many things. Like my first full shower after surgery. It exhausted me--what could I ever be able to do? I sat in a chair, draped with my gown over me because I was too tired to put it on. Had to catch my breath. Was this the best it would ever be?

So Toni, I understand your fear. Eventho I knew God was with me, still had 'to do' to prove to myself I could. For me, it was racquetball. Petrified that first time. Not sure what would happen. Sometimes I still don't. Yet, I played. And still do. Like you and Dancing With The Stars. And you got my vote!

Hmm. Think I need to buy out a Toni Braxton cd tomorrow.
