Denny Crane, Alan Shore and Me

Almost time for the series finale of 'Boston Legal'. Until Movie Man told me, last week, he deduced tonight was the finale--I thought I had until sweeps--in May--to enjoy this sly pleasure. Not so much. Tonight is it. After tonight, no more chats on the balcony with Denny and Alan. No more chat between Movie Man and me when there are scenes that remind us of the other.

*Sigh*

Will admit I watched this show from beginning to now--the end. The first couple seasons, wasn't really feeling it. Cast, all too familiar peppered with the young. That's not a bad thing, yet nothing seemed to make "Boston Legal" that special. When Candace Bergen showed up and the tweaks took place--we had lift off! Hooked--that's what I was---hooked!

Always thought James Spader was attractive from way back in the "Pretty in Pink'' and then "Sex, Lies and Videotape" days. Then there's William Shatner: Captain James T Kirk (from Iowa!), TJ Hooker (which I never watched) and now Denny Crane (just look at him and smile). Oh sure, they'll live on in re-runs, but it won't be the same. Their chemistry could not be written. My must see Boston Legal Night will be gone.

After tonight---no more sleepovers.

Just Gotta Love It...

The way Warren Sapp glides on the floor NOW, makes me forget how much I wasn't thrilled with him in the NFL THEN. No glide---mostly just a slam to the ground. :) I do think his score should have been higher than a 24. Let's tune in tomorrow to see Cloris salsa's on home.... :)

Back to the TV...Boston Legal is my just dessert tonight. Denny Crane.

Mummy Monday

So lethargic I am. From 2:30 AM this morning, I tossed and turned. A cat curled to me, slept as only as fur covered brick could-deep. Our rousing game of fetch tuckered him out--not so much me. Laid there and asked what God tried to reveal to me. The job? Oh please---that job has always been about the people I've met. So blessed I've been. My health? Continues to be great--I've lost 7 pounds. My love life---hmm...OK--let's all yawn on that--I ask God these questions. I hear, "I got your back."

My problem is, I've not given up all the anxiety my flesh floods with. Need to work on that. He's in control. Realize that more now than days past. Will realize more in days to come. Hmm. Maybe Tony Romo will need to take a lesson of that too--let the anxiety go.

No walk tonight. Too exhausted. One drawback from my mitral valve replacement surgery, is fatigue. When I am this tired, just want to stop and give myself 40 winks. And this could mean when I drive. Scary. I pray to fight to keep my eyes open. Had to do it tonight. Made it though.

Trash is by the curb. Cats had their dinner snack. Birds have their food. My contacts are out. I'm headed to the couch. Just in case I doze off during Dancing With the Stars and/or Boston Legal, the DVR is set.

God's got it. It's already done. Gotta remember that. I am blessed.

Sunday Settle Down

Visited Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church today-with Pastor Dr. Tony Evans. The folks were nice. The message was on Dry Bones from Ezekiel. Hit a few places. The little girl beside me hit a few places in her diaper too. :) I think I'll go back for another visit. Since church wasn't part of my growing up, I enjoy visiting other churches now that it is.

Gorgeous late afternoon. Actually tried to de-clutter some of the house. A cat loves to scratch the carpet--which gives more determined reason to change the flooring.

Need to work on my newest short story. I could see this as a play. I just pray about this--there are times I wonder if I pray 'big' enough? Hmm.

Outside of all that--I need to get what little I planned to do done--because the Cowboys play in a little over an hour. The Emmys are on too. Sure, I can catch the hi-lights--but that's what DVR is for. Then tomorrow---oh, wow--I'll turn into a TV Tart. The Young and the Restless is finally getting good after a dry spell--the new Billy Abbott has too many teeth. However, tomorrow night....double dose...Dancing With the Stars, where I hope Warren Sapp can glide the light fantastic--then after that: Denny Crane aka Captain Kirk aka 'Boston Legal.'

TV Tart indeed. First up, The Dallas Cowboys and the Pack from Green Bay. Kinda lost some of the mystic since Bret Favre is no longer Green Bay QB. Nonetheless, when all said and done, better be 3-0 for Tony, Terrell, Marion, Felix 'the Cat' and all the rest!

I got the corn ready for poppin'

And the American Idol Top Two will be....

David Cook better be one of them.

If some reason he gets booted off--UGH. Syesha needs to go. She's gorgeous--yet I never really 'felt' her---now, David Cook...yea, baby! Catch you in an hour or so---well, in between the end of American Idol and the start of Boston Legal...Denny Crane!

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
