Resolution Run Down

Yes, I drank my 74 ounces of water today. And I also told a couple chums one of my 20101 is:

Not to make the excuses of others justify why I don't do something.

For me, to follow my dreams aka to work on the gifts He gave me. This means alot. As much as I love my chums, I did/do make their excuses justify mine. I've not utilized my time well, especially when it comes to writing, because of this action. Can't change the past, yet I can make a difference for today and tomorrow. Chums' excuses assisted my self doubts to grow. Those doubts lead me to the nearest plate of dee-lishus fried onion rings instead of sliced fresh onions to waltz on my salad topped with Roasted Red Pepper Vinegarette salad dressing. One is dee-lish-US, while the other is dee-lish-US-y good for you. It can work.

Tis my main resolution. Hang tuff with that, I got it made.

Gotta put the trash by the curb and will do my best to leave some self doubt there too!

How about you?

Psst...hang with me while I put a photo of cutie pie, Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin! This guy, along with # 24 Marion Barber, have my heart. Dallas Cowboys shut out the Philadelphia Eagles 24-0 yesterday. And I think the same outcome can happen on Saturday night as they battle in the Wildcard game. Stay tuned!

And Now It Begins

The New Year....2009! It's two hours and fifteen minutes old. I came home starved, but I had to do something first before I could munch. Went outside, looked up to the stars and gave my thanks. Expressed my confidence to be able to handle whatever He decides. To test me and my character on the path to blessings. For the past few years, I'd done this ritual on my apartment balcony and just pray nobody would do a drive-by as an extra firework for the New Years! This year was different. I was out in my own backyard. Sat on the bench, where Movie Man had bees buzz around his bald head this past Spring. On my balcony in 2006, I told God I knew something was coming and felt it could be handled. Three months later I had to decide if a little open-heart surgery would keep me down or if I would just rest, get up and live life. This year, as my buns froze on that cold bench, I told Him let's write this next chapter. Then I came in and ate a bowl of Total Raisin Bran instead of the fudge I craved. *Sigh*

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Next to the Last Day

Can you believe it?

2008 will soon be a vision in the rear view mirror. Does it seem possible? On this night before the BIG night, do you reflect of what's transpired in this year? Or do you wait to do that tomorrow--since that will be the BIG night? Do you ask chums what their plans are? Do you ask them if they remember the New Year's Eve where y'all were high school seniors and knew that the New Year would bring change like you never thought--graduation for one? Or were you just content to party then, with the entire town, in a chicken coop, drink lots of beer and dance to the high school guys rockin' in best garage band style? Does that memory make you smile to this day?

2008 ends tomorrow night. Can you believe it?

Right now--maybe not so much. Because today's episode of Young and the Restless still needs to be watched, plus a piece of fudge still needs to be savored, a cat still needs curl in your lap and purr, and then to top it all off--you still have a 7 AM phone interview before heading off to your current-and hope soon to exit because of a better opportunity-job.

As we head toward the finish line, 2008 still carries alot of generous, goodness and gracious weight.

You should like that.
