Almost

Friday.
Yep, almost Friday.
Does any more need to be said?
Except I am glad
The weekend is about here
And I have enough money to buy
a cup o' joe at 7-11 in the mornin'
Thursday nights make you just
Feel the rush of
What is Friday...
Now a little I'd where I'd have happy feet
Dancing to back in the 80's. Still a catchy beat...
Almost Friday...

Thoughts...

Did errands tonight. When did I fall in love with thrift stores? Not that long ago I called em 'junk stores.' For some they may be, yet I love the treasure search. Or maybe I know I need them more and more after the $45 filled my gas tank.

Croutons. The best...and I mean the BEST yum-yum croutons are New York Original Texas Toast Cheese and Garlic Croutons. Big (just like the state of Texas!) Crunchy and all around dee-lish-shus! For the calorie conscious two tablespoons will weigh you in with about 35 calories. These babies enhance any salad! Croutons....when did I get to the point in my life where I'd WANT to talk anything that went in or on a salad?

Thunder. Lightening too. Don't think the Dallas weather people predicted this! Hmm. One summer evening, while I was grade school age, I watched a softball game with my parents. We were at our town's park, along with half the town. Thunder started to roar. Lightening graced the sky. I announced to my parents that thunder was Heaven's door opening for the people. Lightening was to show them the way.

When did I ever stop believing that?

...One last thing....I mean it....

As I toodled around Des Moines, last weekend, I took in the city's growth. Some familiar places I see in Dallas--and take for granted--stood so tall and proud in Des Moines. Case in point, my chum D said, "There's On the Border-it's suppose to be good." Huh? Then there was a Fuddruckers, where D and her hubby, enjoy their burgers. I told her my favorite burger place in Dallas is Burger Island. There was the Cheesecake Factory--in Des Moines? Sure thing! After our toodling, I hankered to quench my thirst with a coffee drink. Imagine my surprise we had to travel miles--literally- to find one. What? Starbucks not on every or every other corner? Not being able to say, "Oh, well, I missed that one, but another one will just down the road a piece." Instead, I have look on a map to find one of the 10 Starbucks, Des Moines has, to get my Mint Mocha Chip Light Frap fix. Think of the gas used! Oh goodness--those poor deprived people! :)

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
