Ta-Ta to T.O.

The Dallas Cowboys cut Terrell Owens.

I realize I may be part of the minority on this one, but my take is...

The Dallas Cowboys cut the wrong guy.

They shoulda cut Jerry Jones.

Terrell Owens wasn't my favorite player, however he did his job.

I can respect that.

Terrell Owens didn't say, like a 67 Million Dollar QB who dates a Hollywood wanna-be, that it was just a sporting event.

With Michael Irving, back in the glory days-was he a whole lot different?

So now what? Terrell Owens was not the problem on that team.

He spoke his mind. Enough media caught that speaking on tape, and tried to change our minds with it.

Jerry Jones loves this team so much, I hate what he's done with it.

Jimmy Johnson would have left eventually, yet we all shake our heads and wonder, "What if...?

Jerry Jones should make nice with Jimmy Jones and hire him as GM

In the meantime, we all will deal with how Dallas Cowboys cut the wrong guy.

Terrell, we hardly knew ye. You'll get your Lombardi Trophy--just not with the Dallas Cowboys

And accept my apology for Jerry Jones.

Shortest Day

On my drive back home from church today, I pass right by Texas Stadium. I shook my head and muttered again to myself, "They shoulda won." Movie Man and his best bud were at the game last night. Seems like he's thawed out about now.

Anyway, I'm in for the day. It's barely above freezing. A north wind sweeps my yard, alas the leaves are all ready in big ol' bags await the trash guy on Tuesday.

Today is the shortest day of the year. My dad always said, "The days will get longer now and Spring won't be far behind.'' Sometimes, when he said that, the windchill was 20 below zero, so a song of comfort those words were. Hey, I'm all for longer days. This pitch blackness by 6pm ain't cutting it. And the fact it's about 32 degrees in Dallas now, a frostbite temperature to go with last night's ice cube kinda game. They shoulda won.

Wait a minute, I did get a little 'spring' today. Yep, from my visit to Inspiring Body of Christ Church with Pastor Rickie G. Rush. He continued to speak of anointing. I like how Pastor Rush said people are attracted to your power-. The power you received by God's anointing. You may think you have it, or it may seem so long before you DO have it. Alas, it's all in God's time, and patience needs to be learned. A work in progress.

After Halftime Part II

There was no Dallas Cowboy come back. The Baltimore Ravens'Willis McGahee's 77-yarder and Le'Ron McClain's 82-yarder for touchdowns shut the lights out in Texas Stadium, for the final time, in a way the fans didn't expect.

Final score 33-24.

You'll always wonder what woulda happened if the Cowboys kicked on-side, instead of deep?

And I did listen to Brad and Babe, on the radio, during the second half. Just wish it had been music to my ears with the tune of "Victory."

Halftime With Deion Prime Time Sanders

....right now on the NFL Network. The Dallas Cowboys trail 9-7, in the last regular ever to be played game in Texas Stadium--which is about 10 minutes away from my door. Since I really don't catch the NFL Network, unless the Cowboys play--like now, I was clueless Neon Deion was part of the team in the booth.

I know now.

Sure, Deion played for the Cowboys. He also did some chuckle ha-ha pizza commercials with owner and commander in chief, Jerry Jones, during his tenure here. And I admit, I watched some of his and wife Pilar's reality show, "Prime Time Love."

Still not much of an admirer, except Deion is built quite nice.

I digress. For the second half, when the Dallas Cowboys mount their come back as Tony Romo and TO Owens finally click on all sx cylinders, and DeMarcus Ware continues he's mow down of Ravens' QB Flacco, and Flozell Adams doesn't false start, I'll have Deion, Marshall Faulk (PLEASE help this man find another job QUICK!) and company, turned down and The Voice of the Cowboys aka Brad Scham and Babe Laufenberg turned up on my radio.

Go 'BOYZ!

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
