Monday Make

Made it thru the weekend although the Dallas Cowboys did cough up a gigantic hairball by blowing a 12 point lead fourth quarter lead with just three minutes or so to go last night on Sunday Night Football. Take a breath. I need to let it GO....inhale...exhale....Better...YEA. OK. Hmm**** On a much lighter note. I attempted a new crafty thing over the weekend. Decoupage leaves on a glass plate. I realize after my attempt I must indeed follow the directions, instead of making up my own. The leaves are from my holly bush, in front of my house. All the directions called for Matte Mod Podge to glue and seal the leaves to the plate. I chose to do my own thing and use Sparkle Mod Podge. After these few days, my leaves still look a bit squishy and the over all look is not what it should be. I didn't even finish the plate off, because I pretty much coughed up a hairball with the plate, like the Cowboys did in their game.

The cat inspects the plate. I can improve with leaves, glue, and plates, however with three games to go: can the Dallas Cowboys Mod Podge their act together?***Stay tuned.

Sunday Later....

Yes, I'm been a bit on the tardy side on my blog. I do apologize. I went thru one of my thoughts of changing the focus --again--on the blog. Just stay on ONE thing to chat about. I'm still out to lunch on that. I might gain more interest if my blog is just one subject--like heart issues, relationship stuff, cats--ice cream--who knows. We'll see.

Nonetheless. Cowboys WON today over arch nemesis the New York Football Giants. This was the 1st game after the coach change during the week. Felt so good to taste some victory with the buffalo wings. Sports radio will be of the positive this week--and after the Cowboys going 1-7, it's ALL GOOD.

Just like this week is going be...ENJOY!

Monday Now

On this Monday the buzz around town remains the Dallas Cowboy victory over the Tampa Bay Bucs. How Patrick Crayton showed us stuff we've not seen before. Had to DVR the game because I was still at church when it began. Drove home in the rain, which lengthened my usual 25 minute drive--and not once-.not ONCE did I tune my radio to the game! So difficult to do, I nearly downed my French Vanilla Cappuccino in one gulp. The Cowboys won. Just one game does not the season make--yet it was nice for the victory. A solid victory...

Which should be had next Monday. Why? Because I pray the town will still be a buzz over a Dallas Cowboy win over the NY Football Giants Sunday night. That Patrick Crayton, again shows, he can step up with Roy Williams for a 1-2 WR punch. It will have been the first game in the Jerry Jones $1Billion Party Barn aka Cowboy Stadium (for now). And then later on Monday night, I'll be transfixed to Dancing With The Stars! No joke.

So Next Monday, I'll be set again. Yet for this Monday, I got my 74 ounces of water down, trash by the curb and wondered if the rain will ever stop, or should we ask a guy named Noah for bid to build a big boat....nonetheless...all is good.

And I am blessed.

Sunday Short

This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.
Gorgeous Dallas day--close to 80 degrees. Filled up my gas tank for a buck 49 a gallon. Spent more time in Wal-mart than I wanted too. The long check out lines saw to that. I bought the Oprah magazine with her thinner self and now self displayed on the cover. Well, I realized Oprah's thinner days were my bigger days!

Last night Movie Man and I headed to Yuletide Party of a work chum. Good food and times had by all. There was a photo snapped of Movie Man and me. Afterwards the chat went a little like this:

Me: How do you feel about our picture on my blog?

Movie Man: Silent Stare

Translation: No picture on my blog. However, I'm OK with that--because without Movie Man's help last night, I wouldn't have gotten any pictures snapped of me. See, a magazine is considering running my heart adventure piece. They've asked for a photo and short bio. Once again the Chum of Cinema came to my rescue.

Today, I debated what church to attend. I headed to Inspiring Body of Christ Church with Pastor Rickie Rush. He preached on several scriptures, yet the theme was on our anointing. I favored 1 John 2:20. I'd put it here, yet maybe your own Bible needs to be picked up, open and read--again. OK--back to the sermon. When you're anointed you became a target--for Satan and those around you that try to drain you, because--well, they're not in the same place you are. I could relate. The words hit home.

Experimented with more paint. A few strokes of Copper Wire grace my living room wall. It's kinda more orange than I wanted, but a more warmer, inviting orange than the tangerine whatever I had on my hallway wall that now is covered with primer. As for my living room, I can picture the accents I want to go with this version of orange--pillows, etc. So this might be a keeper. .

And the Cowboys play tonight. Hmm. The Giants have absolutely nothing to play for, except feeling good to play in nice climate tonight. While the Cowboys have the season to play for. Tony, Terrell, Jason and the rest, must show they can play as a team and not individual castaways on Gilligan's Island--after all the yuk-yuk stuff of this week. I pray they do. Ease my tension of the game is Blue Bell's Cookies 'n Cream ice cream.

And a cat.

I am blessed.
