Sunday Stop

The kitty looks out at Sunday. This my girl cat who meows and carries one of my shoes to me. I believe it's her "Mommy cat" meow. She never had to carry her kittens any where three and a half year ago. They were safe and secure in my apartment. Maybe she misses that she never had to carry anything. One of those moments I wish cats could talk.
With that wish, I realize I need to talk more to God. How's that for segue? :) IBOC's Pastor Rickie Rush had such a good message today. One part hit me all the way home, especially because of my Over Do it yesterday.
God has a plan for us, Pastor Rickie Rush said. That's the first time God speaks to us--about His plan. The next time is when God tells us our purpose. In the middle of all this journey, are all the 'sighs' of the purpose/blessing.
That goes back to me yesterday, I over did the card thing. I had me with my own version of a Hallmark store and one of Oprah's Favorite Things. Ever since my pesky little open heart surgery in 2006, I've 'seen' things. Clear as could be. When I sat and recuperated when it was exhausted me to walk just 10 minutes--if lucky. How would these things every really happen? Some of those things have already come to pass. There are more things God has let me see. I need to listen and TALK more to Him to see what all this is.
Or I actually do know, and I let my flesh take over with fear. Then I remember, God does not give me fear.
Then I also remember to be still and know he is God.
Things have changed so much in my life. Good and bad--yet my character continues to be built.
I am blessed.

Friday Feel

It is the weekend. Am so glad. Was pretty pissed the other day.
Eased up--well, trying to anyway. One of those moments
Where you try to think of THE moment
You called yourself taking control-
Instead of to leave all your troubles in God's hands.
Kinda scarey, when I realized when I had that 'moment.'
So now as I'm at another crossroads where my trust
Needs to be in Him. I need to repeat Psalms 50:15
Am I smart enough, more so
Humble enough to admit I can't conquer on my own?
How I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired?
Life is a banquet and I refuse to starve myself.
Stay tuned.
In the meantime, I'm feeling a little Michael Jackson and Corner of the Sky...RIP MJ

Monday Muse

Once again, I question on taking an undetermined hiatus from this blog.

And I enjoy doing the blog.

However, my hits aren't as they were. Not giving what readers, I do have, what they want to read.

As much as grew up, followed the Osmonds, yet still rocked in the 70's, partied like it was 1999 in the 80's, thought I was a true adult in the '90, however I realized I'd not completed as much as I thought I woulda done by now in the 2000's--so what to do?

Write about just my survival of open-heart surgery or being born with microtia (born without an ear--in my case, I do not have a left ear) or being half a century with no husband or kids (which I miss not having) or the desire to produce a play from my own words, dance, sing, and play piano or the loss of my mom when I was 13 and being an only child at that?

Hmm. I've done that-only not every day.
Maybe I should? But which one? I'm open for suggestions.
However, since I've biked and treadmilled, must take trash to the curb, contemplate washing the dishes, pet a cat, chow a salad so my coumadin stays in check, watch "The Closer" and get on my knees and thank God for this life.

Stay tuned.
I am blessed.

SunDay Light Savings Time

Sure, I got messed up with the time this morning. I forget to set the clock ahead, before I fell asleep during Saturday Night Live. Anyway, I made it up in time to church.

Instead of going to Inspiring Body of Christ Church with Rickie G. Rush or Friendship West Baptist with Freddy Haynes, I visited a church I'd never heard of. In fact the work chum who invited me. asked if I prefered small churches or mega-churches. Told her, I leaned toward something a bit smaller--well, I didn't expect the congregation to be at most, 60 folks. That includes the preacher. Not been part of something THAT small.

"His Dwelling Place" with Pastor Dondi Johnson, is where I headed.

Gotta say the spirit was all over this place. Small crowd, yet Mighty Spirit. Right off the bat the Pastor Dondi Johnson points me out of the crowd and says how I'm a woman with some issues, but I needed to realize God had this. Plus, I was stronger than I realized, Pastor Dondi Johnson informed me-repeatedly.
After the service was over, I spoke more to him. Pastor Dondi Johnson's eye's never left mine as he informed me how I put up a wall all around my heart due to all the hurt I've endured. Don't need to do that anymore, he said, God protects me, always has. All the while Pastor Johnson squeezed my hand. Me? Speechless. Never met this guy until today. He didn't know anything about me, yet here he was; all up in my Blue Bell Chocolate Covered Strawberry Ice Cream.

And Pastor Dondi Johnson spoke the truth.
I can't lie. A weight lifted from my shoulders. Hmm. Maybe I need to step on the scale to see if anyMORE weight has been lifted.

All in all, a very nice, gorgeous day. Every window is opened. A cat takes its turn in each one. I sneeze for what ever is in the air. Don't care.

I needed today. Glad God led me to a house of His today, especially because He's been in mine everyday.
I am blessed.

Sunday Something

Pastor Rickie G. Rush, of Inspiring Body of Christ Church, preached from 2 Corinthians 4:18 today. What you see is temporary, what you don't see is eternal. How God breaks you to get YOU ready for the blessings--His plan for YOU. Your decision are not His decisions.

Yea. Feel all of that. I know I'm better than what I was. A work in progress--that's what I am--with more ways to go. I need to rejoice more in what I have--instead of worrying so much what I don't have. Which, honestly. are material things.

Oh wait, except for the man, I don't have in my life. That's not material. It's flesh. But yet, one of those things God is getting me prepared for. Just didn't want to be 100 when Mister Right Are You Still Breathing Now? appears. I digress.

I look around and open my eyes to what God has blessed me with. It's the little things. The little things, I claim should make me happy--that have grown into big things. A purr of a cat. A touch of a friend. The laughter of children--of all ages-including my own.
How He continues to prepare me. To make the images, He's flashed in my brain, come to be. I have to be ready. I can't force it. He's know what's right. I need to release more, give Him all my troubles and just give Him glory.

He doesn't ask for much.

He's not brought me this far to leave me.

I am blessed.
