What More?

Finally.

On Saturday, a good chum of mine gets married. Kinda start to hit--She's grown up from a brat (she knows I think this) to quite the polished, independent, intelligent woman--heck, my chum must zip to Brazil, a couple times a year, for business! Not bad, for a person who said she never really wanted to leave the department we were both in, those years ago!

However, the nuptial IS tomorrow, while today is the start of the weekend makes: FRIDAY!

For that and that alone, what more needs to be said about the joy this day brings?

Friday Snow Update

The official snow tally in the DFW area: 12.5 inches. Most snow EVER in the history of weather keeping...

And I have to go to work. Yep. The entire city, including my former company,is shut down, --my work is not. Even tho I play the IOWA card every chance I get when it comes to Wintry weather and just GO-I do draw the line at a foot of snow. Especially, when the city has never experienced such a sight--so I have no desire to be a warrior to rush to get to my desk.

Hence, I delayed myself, as I know alot of other folks did.
The snow is already beginning to melt. Yet, I gotta admit, the snow has been pretty. All in all, it should be gone by weekend's end---and my Blue Bell Ice Cream remains to ease the Winter Woes. :)

12.5 inches of SNOW.
What state do I live in?

Friday Feelin'

My goodness! It is Friday finally.
Why do weekDAYS seem to slug along so-,
While the weekEND is gone in less than a blink of an eye?
The kicker is, it's always been this way-except now, I'm on the other end of it.
As kids, weekends were infinite moments of play, Nancy Drew books, and non-cable TV.
As adults, we still have infinite moments--they roll too fast onto Monday morning!
In the meantime, let's go back to 1967 for a song
That makes me smile as an adult as much as it did when I was a kid--
And dare I say--it still makes me feel infinitely groovy....

Ahh...

It's Friday.
Rain and a chill fills the air.
Not as cold as it was a few weeks ago.
Friday, none the less.
And that's enough to be said.
Enjoy!

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
