Sunday in Bloom

This is so when I really love being in Dallas--not too hot, not too cool. GORGEOUS is the only word to describe! This flower, is out in my back yard. I snapped it this morning before I got ready for church. It's close to my wisteria, so it could be from there. I dunno. All I do know, it's purple!

OK. Well, I don't want to keep you too long. I do have some junk to pick up around the house and popcorn to pop--so...the main thing is at church. I attend Inspiring Body of Christ Church (IBOC), with Pastor Rickie Rush. I have the t-shirt and bumper sticker to prove it--literally. One of these times, I'm just going to have to talk about my Spiritual Walk and how I wound up at IBOC--a place I NEVER thought I would be. However, in the meantime, I want to speak about today's sermon--which dealt with anger.

Yea, something that I'm NOT proud about. Pastor talked about trying to find where that anger came from and how you just carry it around with you. Then something or somebody lights you're already short fuse and your anger fireworks begin. Pastor spoke if someone is critical, it is actually we who are critical and also controlling.

All this about forgiveness, scripture from books Ephesians and James and I'm like...why did I come today? The guy I sat by was having a hard time too, and we both laughed. And when Pastor said if it's hard to trust, it because we have not forgiven, we both wanted to get up an leave. I told him to make sure he wrote that down, while I hoped I'd run out of ink.

We both wrote it down and did not get up and leave. They guy I sat by, who I don't even know his name said, "This was right on time."

I agree.

Then I glanced over my shoulder, specifically to the section across. My eyes locked with Bear's.
We'd both heard the same sermon. Alot of what Pastor preached was stuff from our past.
I'd like to believe we've both come far since those days. Anyway, when our eyes locked, we both smiled.

Like I said, this is when I love living in Dallas--not too hot, not too cool.

Am Too

That's what I am. It's 9:14pm. I promised myself I was going to bed early tonight..and I am.

Did some school work. This instructor--has already given me positive feedback on my posts. I'm beginning to think this Human Services Bachelor of Science thing I'm goin' for is a good thing. I do have do alot of writing for this particular class this weekend--plus I'd like to do some of my own fiction writing--my novella cries to me to add more words to it. I'll see what I can do.

Oh, and I tried to prune my wisteria tree--yes, tree--I hope I didn't kill it. Anyway, a branch popped me in the face. Since I take a blood thinner, I won't be too surprised if I have a bruise. Anyway, I'm pretty proud of myself for taking on such a task. It had grown enough, it had wrapped itself around my neighbors' tree branches....

And the kitty posted here? His name is Noir and has his own blog, Noir's Nook--which seems to get more hits than mine. Hmm. I can't be hating on my own cat, must be cuz Noir purrs! :) Anyway, I took snapped this picture just a few minutes ago. Noir perched on the blankee I have for a cat who decides to keep me company while I toil on the PC. Noir decided tonight was his shift. however Noir does decide when his shift is also over--cuz Noir pulled an Elvis and left the room....

...and I am too.

Backyard Bloom

Love my backyard.
I bought this house for the one thing I said I didn't want: a yard.
Now, I can't imagine myself without one. OK. Sure, the check to the lawnmower guy, every other week, DOES help. Yet the yard is what sold me on this house.

The lady, who raised her sons in this house, loved her yard too. One of her sons said his mom tended to a vegetable and herb garden until she became too ill. Then was just able to tend to her flowers. The greatest gift his mom left me(outside of the circa 1970's appliances because I had zilch) are the blooms that come back every year.

Last April when I moved in, I was too emotionally drained to pay attention to the yard. This year is SO different. I have some small trees, just a bit taller than me, leaves for decoration. Three rose bushes, my wisteria, gladiolas, little pink and lavender flowers sprinkled everywhere. There are other plants and flowers, the lady, who planted them, would know their names. I must Google to learn them.

I wonder if I could have done what the lady did: plant and love these plants from the beginning? Maybe I can accent what the lady started? She might just sit on the bench under the wistera and smile.

I love my backyard.

BackYard Beauty

Proud to say this wisteria is in my back yard.

Right this very second.

I swear it wasn't there two days ago.

Gorgeous site!

Its perfume waltzed with my nose.

Had to be careful tho. Bees buzzed from bloom to bloom.

Had to laugh, because last year Movie Man sat out on the bench.

Amidst the blooms. To take in the ambiance and about to get bee stung.

Then I zapped back to reality in time to spot a bee buzz too close to me!

I do feel stressed out today.

Thoughts of stuff I can't change.

Then I look at my wisteria.

Stress relievers come in all shapes.

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
