KRIS ALLEN is the new American Idol!

Oh my! Two nights in a row I get shocked! Last night on Dancing With the Stars, Shawn Johnson won and tonight: Kris Allen. WOW.

For me Adam Lambert was the better singer, the better showman. The thought of Adam being doused with lots of ego, was an air of confidence in my book. Adam knew his strengths. Didn't so much think that of Kris. What made me think, Kris might...and I repeat, might make it all the way, was his duet with Keith Urban.

Maybe I didn't realize country could sound like that. I guess I still think country is your daddy's Hank Williams....senior. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this song....alot! I'm adult enough to admit my defeat and saw congrats to Kris and all the KrisNation!

So now with DTWS and Idol, plus all my TV network shows, and the Dallas Mavericks are done for season, it's time to get on with the summer! Happy Day!

Hmm. Now when do the Dallas Cowboys begin their training camp? I'm ready for them to begin their quest to regain the NFL's title of American Idols.

On American Idol: Adam Lambert got my vote. Kris was good. No disrespect, yet that other final spot shoulda been Danny Gokey. My say: Adam wins tomorrow.

Waiting now for the winner of Dancing With the Stars: I hope Gilles. At the senior center I now am a member of, has ballroom lessons. I'm gonna give that a twirl.

And today, a woman I use to be pen pals with, starting in 1974, found me on Facebook! We lost touch about 2003, when I quit my other job. We'd e-mailed pretty regularly, after we found each other again. Never met. Were Osmonds fans, when she sent me that first letter. She lived in Hawaii and me in Iowa. We wrote for a long time and lost and found and lost and found and lost--yet found again. I hope for awhile this time. In 1974, stamps, I think, were 8 cents.

On top of all that

One more day closer to Friday.

Tuesday Turn Part II

American Idol.

Oh my. I know the singers are young--however, with ALL the movies ever made, none of them really, REALLY wowed me. Sure, Adam Lambert brought home "Born to Be Wild" and that was about it. Danny felt "Endless Love" yet I didn't. His version did nothing for me, just like the original Lionel Richie and Diana Ross 80's did nothing for me back in the day. Sorry. And Allison-- just can't be 16!--however, to me, she did not sound her usual great. I thought she sounded horrible. I wonder if the judges will hear a difference when they watch it back? But for Lil Rounds, my heart breaks. I'm with Simon words about her. I loved her at the beginning....Lil, you either you sing "The Rose" straight or do it all the way R & B/gospel. The two didn't mesh. I hoped Lil would have just stood and sang Beyonce's "Listen" from Dreamgirls. To show off her pipes and finally have her moment!

My opinion: Bottom Two will be Lil Rounds (for her added 'tude) and Kris (for a song nobody's heard)

Tuesday Turn

Tis interesting when someone you don't know too well and was OK either way if you didn't know em or not, turns out to a confident to continue the story. Discovered a co-worker and I share the thoughts to become business owners. We share the tiny steps, instead of the rejoice in the faith step we should take. Once again, proves you don't know until you know it!

For tonight, gotta admit TV has all my interest tonight. OK, sure I should mop the floor, do the dishes and yea, yea, yea.

Whatever.

More inclined to celebrate the fact I did not get one single bill in the mail today! I can put put stuff of dfor one more day! Heck, Denzel Washington isn't until the weekend! :)

Must get ready for American Idol and then immediately switch to Dancing with the Stars.

Curious what Adam, who I give props for his originality, will surprise us with toinght?While on DWTS Steve-O just HAS to G-O! Unfortunately, Steve can't jack ass his way outta this! Charm or no charm.

So let me at least check the cats' food and then pop myself some corn.

And remember He didn't bring me this far to leave me!

Mad Music

So I dvr'd American Idol because I was out doing an errand. Got home right as Allison began her verison of Bonnie Raitt--not bad. But I didn't pay attention to the time. American Idol ran long and I didn't see the final singer: Adam Lambert.

Thank goodness for the internet! Somebody already upload of tonight perfomance of Adam singing "Mad World,." Honestly, I don't remember the song--mainly Tears for Fear weren't big faves of mine. Gotta give Adam props tho.

Can work a song. Has a stage presence. Makes ya listen to him. Simon gave Adam a standing ovation. Now THAT never happens. So the kid who caused Johnny Cash to turn in his grave a few weeks ago, with "Ring of Fire'" solidified he IS the one to beat in this Season 8 of Idol.

Who should go home tomorrow? Kris Allen or Scott--maybe even Lil. Don't save any of em.

Tuesday Tweak

First, American Idol. I am no Johnny Cash fan, yet even I gotta wonder what Adam Lambert was thinking when he warbled "Ring of Fire" with the centaur background? What was IT? I agree, with Simon, the performance was a bit self indulgent. Adam stays, but put in a ring of fire and see how he likes it.

Alexis Grace should be the one to go. Nothing popped out at me this week or last. Which is too bad, because I liked her. Pack your bags.

Second, Dancing With the Stars.. Kinda glad Steve-O is still in. Gives him a chance to re-deem. Even Adam Apple Computer Nerd Guy. He's all cuddly. I kinda wanted to see Denise Richardson or Holly Madison do the quick step as they exited the stage. Instead it was Belinda Carlisle. Hmm. I wasn't much of a G0 Go's girl in the 80's, however I'm kinda sad to see her go.

Third, I like Natasha Richardson. Heart sick about her ski injury. My prayers are for her and her family.

Fourth, gotta find a cat to curl with and call it a night.
