Wonder

Why you just can't wake up and pounds can be gone from your body? The exercise and less food are working. In fact, during lunch yesterday one of my co-workers asked if my 'rabbit food' would satisfy me. Too funny. I munched on a Healthy Choice meal. Sure, it wasn't all pasta, garlic bread and tiramisu--yet it was good.

To lose weight is like when you gain weight--it doesn't happen over night. I try to not be angry at myself that it happened at all. When I lost all those 70 lbs in 2006--I just KNEW it wasn't coming back. I loved swimming in my clothes. I knew I would always be a full figured girl, but being a healthier full figured girl was my goal.

And I stuck to it until I realized I had to start this new chapter.

Stay tuned.

Weight Wednesday

Woke up this morning.
Got on the scale.
Not sure which screamed louder: Me or the scale.
Not good.
I call myself cutting down on the calories--however my exercise routine hasn't picked up. The work-out room at my old apartment is the one--and only-thing--I miss about it. So I need to get back in the habit of my routine.
My birthday is next month--the 8th.
Want to make sure I give my ownself a great present.
Pass that salad over here with the fat free dressing.

Come Saturday Morning....

.....is a song written by Dory Previn and performed by the Sandpipers. It was also showcased in "The Sterile Cuckoo" starring Liza Minnelli in 1970. Peaked at #17. It talks about going away with my friends....well, I'm going away with my chum. Movie Man ,to the rec center this Saturday Morning.

Racquetball.

I've not played in months, nor he. However it will take him all of 30 seconds to 'feel' it again. Smash the ball against the wall, crumble said wall, then look at me say: "Go get it." Me? I'll make sure I have 911 on speed dial.

Racquetball can burn 700 calories. I hope I live to take in 700 breaths.

Stay tuned.
