Wednesday Wink

Takin' off from work Thursday and Friday
Didn't plan for Thursday until about 2:00 pm today-
Ya know the 'transitions' of jobs happen and
This will be my 3rd one this year--just like WHY?
When does it end?
Gotta put my part into to the change-
Won't happen all on its own-
There are so many things to do-
That I must do. I won't be able to move
Forward without givin' myself
A sly wink to myself as I check me
In the mirror and get so on with it--
Just gotta make the good gel is in my hair
'cause when you soar like an eagle
Can't have messed up hair... :)

Stay tuned.

Hump Day

When I was about 10 years old or so, there was TV commercial about what to for supper. I can't remember if the parent or the kid asked the other what they should have for Wednesday meal. Somebody asked "Hump Day?" The answer was "STEW!"

What I do recall Mom asking me that same question. I thought I was being funny and said "STEW"! I just figured she knew I joked. Because, really, I NEVER suggested stew for any family meal.

Imagine my surprise as I journeyed home after a long, grinding day of grade school to find a full soup pot of stew resting on the stove. My face dropped about 10 stories, in our one story house.

Mom says, "You did say stew."

Indeed I did. And never did again.

Lesson be careful what you do joke about was learned that day.

110...

The actual temperature here in Dallas.
A record.
Ya know, you're getting like your parents when you
Talk about the weather...
110 degrees
Unfortunatly, I had to walk about 2 blocks to my car when I left work.
Being a little late this morn caused me to not have such a great parking spot.
Not so much tomorrow.
The lemonade I helped me battle the 110 degree heat.
Suppose to be that hot still on Wednesday..
Stay tuned.

Then David Chow--wow--they made him all Soprano in a matter of a few days...never cared for him....and Sabrina--I don't mind her--yet I didn't like she got with Victor in abou five minutes. Tired of Jeff and Gloria cat and mousin' about that face cream. Jill just needs to stop. Brad should grow up...and Amber needs to go a "I Will Not Whine" Class...Chloe--ugh. And Lilly...yea, sure...I FF thru them....And can Nikki please stop pushing the hair out of her eyes....?

And yes, I'll be watching today's episode when I get home!

Thoughts of Past Loves

The Holidays are pretty much right here. Yep.  Especially since three Christmas movies, in the last three days, between Lifetime and Ha...
