Since We

Last met up it, the weather has cooled off some here in Dallas. Rained last night. Had my windows open and thought there was a dampness in air. Then booms, as if trees crashed to the ground I heard. Gotta be honest, wasn't that sure what the sound was. Thunder. Long time not heard of sound. The cats ran.

All but this one. He hung with me as we both listened to the rhythm of the fallin' rain.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

And...

As I walked out of church today, I thought the weather folks LIED. Sun bright. Sky blue. Temperature hovered near 70. WHERE was this rain and chilly temps they spoke of? Well, 20 minutes later, as I pulled into the Wal-mart close to my house (the one I really don't care for), rain pounded the windshield. When I stepped from my car, the wind stabbed thru me.

Joy.

With the weather so nice, just moments before, I couldn't wait to take a walk. Maybe crack the windows open for fresh air in the house. Well, the umpteen degree drop in temp detoured me from that. The winds grew more cold. And rain gave my car a wash it so needed. The weather folks talk snow maybe tomorrow night. We'll see about that too!

Oh well. Part of Pastor Rickie Rush's message today, was about endurance.
