Van No Gogh...

This is Mooch--
The female feline who
Mooched off me by living
In my shed for 7 months-
The moocher wound up staying longer
And longer and longer, now
She's inside, commands attention and sniffs 'round paint
Used on a craft project that failed-
And she's still a Mooch (a cute one at that), plus
Also quite the snoop...(and I wouldn't have it any other way!)

Jar in Jam II

Yesterday I posted a photo of  two liter mason jar, painted with Folk Art Enamel paints, and baked in the oven for 30 minutes.  Not so much  feelin' the final product. OK. Here is the same jar--which I think looks a little better.
 ****Key word there is 'little'.
**The sun is the reason I think the jar is a little better. Can you see some brightness in the jar? Still ain't  feelin' the over indulgence of   colors. I do need to work on my restraint.  I gotta remember that everything I think is a Van Gogh, could be really a Van Do Not Pass Go instead.
***********Stay tuned.

Primer Paint Pots...poo!

I painted five terra cotta pots the other night. I planned to do a faux granite finish on them. The pots did NOT turn out well at all. Colors did not go together like I thought they would. Figured I would put primer on the pots and just re-paint.

Wrong.

I need to follow directions better. I did use a primer, Kilz. However the primer was latex and water based. Live and learned it does not really work that well on top of acrylic paints. Took forever to dry. And just checked them now. The pots feel kinda gunky.

So what to do now?

Eat low mien noodles with chicken and watch "American Idol."

I am sure Van Gogh took a break every now and then..... :)

Print on Fabric Using....Freezer Paper?

Yep.
It CAN be done.
I know for which I speak because
I did such a feat this night....

Up top is the graphic on my computer. The result on the printed fabric is he bottom right corner. The colors will need to be adjusted darker for the fabric. Heck, I can work on that. In the meantime, for me--the girl who would surely bribe Van Gogh with a pie, to do her junior high art project, is dazed and amazed. Maybe could be be something to this whole being crafty thing.

Stay tuned.

Thoughts of Past Loves
