As 2013 Year Ends..

Remember the hullabaloo of what Y2K would do to all mankind? 

A friend recently fessed up how she and her husband made provisions in their home, just in case something DID happen!

Now we are ready to step 14 years into the 21st century- those same

friends made provisions to stay home tonight with their kitties.

And me?

Headed to Inspiring Body of Christ Church, as I've done the last 

few New Year's Eve for a Word,  music which is almost

like being a Earth, Wind and Fire concert without the 

booze, and about 4000 of my closest and dearest friends :)

Let's get this 2014 party started!

So Say September

Such a grand day here in Dallas! Not too hot, not too cool, unlike the Labor Day 2001 when the actual temp was 111 F. Who cares? So say long ago.

Let me share this right quick. I dined on Vietnamese food last night. Yep. A Classmate asked me if I was I game. He loves the stuff. The last time I had this cuisine was in the '90's. Didn't so really care for whatever I had and recall I drank alot of beer after. This go round Classmate suggested things and had a good laugh at my apprehensiveness. All in all, I surprised myself I enjoyed it. Classmate has mentioned cuisines from Ethiopia. Told him I gotta take a country at a time...

Look at the day! The Iowa Football Hawkeyes won their first game of the season. I gotta do so school writing and some FUN writing sometime today. Like I said sometime today--in the meantime this day beckons for me to return to our playtime together.

So say it IS September!

September Sound

Hopped on my scale this morning. Put ALL my weight on it. No cheat. Smiled because a few pounds were gone. Loved it. No where close to my 41 pound weight to be gone--but baby steps. And I like that---ALOT!

When did September get here? This year. I'm blessed to have air in my lungs--yet it's been one of the worst years--professionally and personally--in a while. I continue to say my prayers and praise Him for what I have been blessed with and what is to come. True test of my faith. A few years ago, I wouldn't even use 'my' and 'faith' together in sentence. Things do improve.

Chatted with a fellow blogger chum--how it's interesting folks, that you know and see face to face-say when they read your blog, it's as if they're talking to you. So why really talk to you, since they know what's going on with you? Hmm. A compliment in there--somewhere-maybe --yet sounds kinda chintzy to me.

On the the up swing, drowned myself in my daily 74 ounces of water today. Made it through work. Realized again, how I work with some terrific folk, even if the job isn't so terrific, however it's terrific I HAVE a job.

So on that note, I'm headed to the couch to watch today's episode of Young and the Restless, pet a cat and ponder how September go there so fast! Cue up Earth, Wind and Fire so they can try to explain! :)
