Back in the day had it on vinyl.

Toast Thursday
Had a little thunder and lightening show tonight. A bit of a cool breeze, enough to shut off the a/c. Yep, Fall is IN the air--Texas style.
I'm just glad it's Thursday. Almost Friday. Not concentrated on my job much this week. I say after the holiday I'll be more focused. Lotta stuff swim in my mind. And, oh yes--the daily 74 ounces rushed down my throat. Water does curb your appetite. I had to be honest with myself that the Earth's elixir could do the job. Took me awhile to get on that wagon train.
Ya know, I could ramble on and on. Like I enjoyed a guilty pleasure of The Patty Duke Show Reunion movie from 1999 tonight. I really don't remember the show itself--kinda young--yet, when I saw this listed on one of these gazillion channels I have, with a 4 am start date--I hit the DVR. On top of that guilty pleasure, I found a song, that I had as a 45.
Ya know--on vinyl-when dinosaurs ruled the earth and the 3 major TV network barely stayed on past midnight! A group called Tin Tin, which had some tie with the Bee Gees or at least one of the Brothers Gibb. The record, I recall was white and yellow and the song: called Toast, Marmalade For Tea...I have NO idea what that means.
And maybe that's the beauty of it. It was 1970 or so-my biggest worry was not liking orange marmalade, but complete adoration for strawberry preserves on my toast and the milk to wash it down with!
Enjoy!

Friday Fuel
Alumni of my High School are in the midst of putting together a reunion for 4th of July 2010.
Why so far away?
Because the reunion is for all graduating classes of the BEST decade ever: 1970's! Even tho our town is small, I didn't know everybody! A good chunk, but not all. Will be great time had by all.
Right now the Alumni are on the search to get us a good 70's band. Hey, I put my vote in for Three Dog Night. I mean, every class from the BEST decade ever (aka the 1970's) can hum a little Three Dog Night. Alas, they may be out the realm of our wallet's reach.
A girl CAN dream---4th of July 2010, is still a few weeks off! :)
In the meantime, it's Friday finally, so lets cue Three Dog Night as we heard them in the 70's. Before video or CD. When vinyl and having an 8 track were the only games in town--like the way I listened to Cory Wells say: Let Me Serenade You-with my eyes shut and smile on my face.
Enjoy!
