When I listened to Michael Vick, I heard no remorse. He says he knows he has an opportunity. For me, it's all about actions. I hate what he did. Maybe I'm too much of an animal lover. Maybe I let it get to me too bad. Maybe I know when Michael Vick throws his first long TD pass, folks will cheer. While Pete Rose remains banded from baseball. I still don't get that.
It makes me sick enough to know 74 ounces of water won't make me feel better.

It's an odd phenomenon in our culture, the famous frequently get away with much more than they should. I've a feeling it has more to do with the almighty dollar than altruism. Michael Vick can make Jeff Lurie some money and Pete Rose isn't much of a draw anymore. I don't agree with what either of them did, I think they betrayed the trust put in them by the NFL,and more importantly the public. Considering the rewards they have the potential to reap from their talents, they should be held to a higher standard.
"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required." We don't hold our public figures to that standard anymore unless it's for the purposes of vindication. We should.
Dollars speak volumes. I have no dollars, yet I speak volumes but I'm not heard as much.
And yes, they should.
