No Memo

Had a job interview today. Sure sign I may not really want the job was, I forgot--completely forgot- to take a resume. Yes, I applied on their website after the company recruiter told me to, hence download a copy there. This was after he called me for the job after spotting my resume on another job site. Oh well. Hours would be great if this were a couple decades ago. Money better. Company great. However, I didn't get the memo that the day had arrived when the interviewers were younger than me.

Don't like that. Don't like that ALL.

Expect to not be called for this job. Will be surprised if I am. And I'm OK with that. Just glad it's the weekend. Time to ponder. Yes, I need more money--don't we all? Yet there's gotta be a better way--a better situation.

He didn't bring me this far to leave me.

And since tis Friday, I wanted to cue up a song I danced away so many nights to. This was during my five week trek to a travel school in Coral Gables, Florida back in those couple yonder decades ago. Hmm. I just smiled about a memory named Joe. Another post at another time, but this is the right time for the late, great Edwin Starr walkin a scant 25 Miles--which is what I shoulda done during my interview....
