Beginning of the week...

Rainy Days and Mondays... do NOT get me down! Not today—no sir-ree-because for the first time in a very long, the temperature is less than 90 degrees. Plus wet stuff fell from the heavens—and it’s STILL falls. My lawns soaks it in. Rain—we missed you! Nice, so very nice.

Gotta tell you, yesterday I headed to the second service at Inspiring Body of Christ Church---and I can say I went to CHURCH! Laughed, cried (and I don’t wear waterproof mascara either) and said hallelujah! Pastor Rickie Rush spoke of our own ministry. What God has destined for us and us alone. Not so much what you do in church, however more how you affect folks OUTSIDE of church. Hit so much to my current struggles. Then there was my chum, Bear—because, I tell him he is a bear- sang in the choir. Later on we chatted of the church happenings. .

Bear and I have been in and mostly out of each other’s lives since September 1998. Valleys, detours, dead ends and distance (a constant companion) has brought us to this moment. Not quite a steady place, yet after our chat yesterday-after the fact we bubbled excitement over the service itself, after Bear repeated how far we’ve come-how I listened to Bear how his walk with God saved his life-after all this, I realized how God has worked (and continues) on us both—apart and together—powerful words and Spirit worked within us. Nice, so very nice.

You don’t know what I went through to get here, and you don’t understand my praise….cue the choir.

I am blessed.
