Saturday Stuff...

It’s 10:30 pm here and tis 88 degrees here in Dallas. Saturday Sauna of over 100 degrees today. Sunday is to be even more of a furnace. So after church tomorrow, the a/c, water, and whatever else is cool in the fridge, will call me home. I'll also contemplate pulling up carpet---sometime in October….cooler then.

Today I had the Book Club meeting. A good time had by all. It’s interesting other folks’ take on the book, The Hand I Fan With. All in all good story-even tho, I admit to trouble with more of its more technical things. However, the author has written several award winning novels, and me? Well, I make up reasons why I’m not writing my self imposed 1000 words per day. Which explain why there is no novel to accompany my self-published one from 1998. Blame the cat.

Journeyed to Sonic to again try the strawberry limeade. As I sat and reviewed the menu, as if for the first time--I chickened out. Yes...yes, I did. I opted for the Hazelnut Java Chiller. Can't go wrong when ice cream is a major ingredient. Maybe next time.

After all is said and done tomorrow-house cleaned, cat pet and laundry done-there will be the final of the Next Food Network Star. Who will it be? Hmm. Can you say, “Aaron McCargo?” I can.

phooey.
I just typed in a big long response and it got lost. Here's a second try...

I ventured to Sonic last week and ended up with one of those flat, one dimensional Limeades you wrote of... it was gross. It had no Cherry, and the Sprite wasn't fizzy. Bleeeccchhh. I think you got it right with the Java Chiller though. I mean can you really go wrong when coffee AND ice cream are involved???

Also, because I'm to lazy to send an email to night, I'll just tell you here... I'm in Houston this week visiting with my squirrel-shooting grandmother. She is in very poor health, and will be moving to the hospice tomorrow, as it is looking like the Lord will be calling her home soon. We sure would appreciate your prayers...

Love ya,
T:)
