I PULLED UP CARPET!
Yes, my chum got us started--this was a first for me. She ripped up the stuff before. There I was-rolled up carpet and the padding. We hauled it to the curb, because tomorrow is trash day. Her little boys held the door open for us. Tomorrow, I'll go back and try to pull up the little wooden strips, then scrap the gunk off the floor. I do believe I'm going to my original thought of having laminate in just that one room. When I do have folks--that room is gonna be where everybody will be. A Ponder moment.
I tell ya, I feel so HGTV! I feel so accomplished. And so far, I'm proud of me. I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille!! I pulled up carpet....who woulda thunk? Where's my ice cream to celebrate!
